Palma Nova
Palma Nova, Majorca, Balearics, Spain
Situated just 9 miles southwest of Palma and approx 15 miles from the airport. Palma Nova forms part of perhaps the largest tourist area on Majorca when combined with its more livelier neighbour Magaluf. The old fishing harbour has now been almost replaced by the marina and nautical club. The wide promenade is great for an evening stroll after dinner. The resort has in total three beaches the largest of which is of good sand with an ambundance of terrace bars to while away those hot sunny days. Although perhaps best suited to the younger market in the peak season it is also a popular destination with families and our silver surfers in the winter months.
An abundance of shops and supermarkets will cater for all needs and the weekly market at Calvi is worth a visit. As with any large resort there is a variety of day activities including watersports from the beach. Marineland is only 2 miles away and always a popular favourite with the children.
Evening entertainment is varied from organised hotel entertainment programmes to the variety of bars and restaurants and of course not forgetting the casino in Magaluf for that little flutter. Overall a resort offering something to suit all ages throughout the year.
