The resort of Sa Coma is predominantly a purpose built tourist area around a wide sandy beach. Located on the eastern coast of the island midway between Cala Millor to the north and Porto Cristo to the south. You can find a good selection of shops and restaurants and a variety of watersports from the sandy beach are available. A wide pedestrian promenade runs behind the beach towards S'Illot in the south to the sheltered bay of Cala Moreya in the north. As the resort was developed in the 1980's attention to town planning was spent on retaining green zones and protection of the local environoment.
